Astronauticle is a single-player game with an optional Online Worlds feature that lets you publish worlds you build and play worlds other players have published. It also offers optional Game Center sign-in so players can open Apple's player and friends screens.
Game Center
Game Center authentication and the friends list are presented in Apple's system-managed interface. Astronauticle only observes whether authentication succeeded and asks Apple to open that interface. The app does not download, store, or transmit your Apple Account credentials, Game Center profile, or friends list.
What we collect
We only collect data when you choose to publish or report content through Online Worlds.
When you publish a world, the following is uploaded to CloudKit:
- Your chosen nickname. This is a display name you type yourself. It is the only name shown with your creations.
- The world you created. This includes its title, level layout, and world settings.
- An opaque CloudKit creator ID. Apple links your nickname and world to an app-specific record ID for ownership, deletion, reporting, and account-level blocking. It is not your real name, email address, or device identifier.
When you report a world, its world ID, displayed author, selected reason, report time, and the creator's opaque CloudKit record ID are uploaded so the service operator can review it. Your block list and any report waiting to be delivered are stored only on your device.
This information is used only for app functionality. Astronauticle does not use it for tracking.
What we do not collect
- No device identifiers. We do not use your device name, UDID, advertising identifier, or hardware ID.
- No requested identity or profile data. Do not enter your real name. We do not ask for your email, phone number, contacts, location, photos, or account credentials.
- No analytics, ads, or tracking. There are no third-party analytics SDKs or ad networks.
Apple manages your iCloud account. Astronauticle checks whether iCloud is available and uses the app-specific creator record ID described above. The app does not receive your Apple Account credentials, email address, or real name.
Reporting, blocking, and community rules
On any world in Online Worlds, you can:
- Report. The world is hidden from you immediately and a report is queued for operator review.
- Block author. Every world by that creator is hidden from you and stays hidden.
There is no automatic moderation in this release. Report and Block still hide content on your device when a report is waiting for an internet connection.
Publish only content you created. Do not publish hateful, sexual, threatening, harassing, illegal, infringing, or personally identifying content. Players must accept these rules before their first publish. By publishing, players confirm they own or control the content and grant Felix Fan a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, distribute, and moderate it solely to operate Astronauticle's Online Worlds. This license ends when the published copy is deleted, except as needed for reports, backups, or legal compliance. Violating worlds may be removed.
Removing your content or data
- Remove a world: delete it in World Builder. If it was published, Astronauticle removes the online copy first. This requires an internet connection.
- Remove your nickname or all associated data: contact us with the nickname you published under.

Children's privacy
Do not use a real identity as your nickname or put personal information in a title or level. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information.
Changes to this policy
If Astronauticle's data practices change, this page and the in-app policy will be updated before the change takes effect.
